In a recent European research note, Citigroup analysts were asked a simple question. If you didn't work for Citi, which other company, or companies, would you most like to work for?
Their responses are below.

Asking analysts who visit and consider an array of companies on a daily basis is often a good indicator of discovering 'quality' places to work.
Is your company featured? What do you think of the selection?

We thought we would kick off our sometime humorous take on different European nationalities with this effort from Finland (with the Swedes unfortunately being at the butt end of the humour)...
A Swede was in a pub in Finland and a regular customer suggested to him:
"I'll give you $200, if you let me smash ten beer bottles on your head." The Swede thought for a while and finally agreed, partly because of the peer pressure. The Finn smashed the first bottle on the Swede's head, then the second and so on, but he stopped after smashing nine bottles.
"So, when are you going to smash the tenth bottle?," asked the Swede.
"I am not a total idiot," the Finn replied, "then I would have to give you that $200."
Boom boom. Have a Finnish joke to share? Post it on Passports Please!

Americans voted most attractive in the world... but 5 EU countries make it into the top 10!
Will someone please tell Brussels to speed up full EU unification as the EU has lost out once again... to the Americans!
In this latest blow to European pride and our heritage as being the centre of the world stage for 'all things beautiful', the continent that brought you the catwalks of London, Paris and Milan has lost out to a nation of what Toby Young calls 'Ork-like creatures with low foreheads, hairy hands and torsos that look as if they’ve been pumped full of custard.'
Here at the European Young Professionals, we think this is one infamy too far and someone should do something about it. As the saying goes 'United we stand... divided we fall'. So we feel it's time for expansionism of the right kind!
If you feel as strongly as we do, write to your MEP now!
Alternatively, join our poll on the sidebar to the right.

The movie below via the link, which is NOT SAFE FOR WORK, was made by the Danish Road Safety Council only in Denmark would the Road traffic council use nudity in public awareness campaigns, after all it was the first country in the world allowing nudity on film so why not nudity in public awareness.

We begin our 'Only in...' series of sketches of European idiosyncracies with this take from Ireland... oh well...!
***
Irish workmen are installing bollards to stop nurses from parking on the pavement outside the Royal Hospital in Belfast .
They are cleaning up at the end of the day.
How long do you think it will be before they realise that they can't go home?

Only In...
For those of you who are not yet convinced that Health and Safety isn't completely barmy in England, we have this story that hit the papers last week.
An employer was reprimanded for discrimination... because she advertised for staff who were reliable!
Only in England...
